Open Herbarium, installation, 2012
Amiens Park, Landscape Design project: Art, Nature and Sustainability Festival, Amiens, France. As the spectators are discovering the different cultivated islands, the tableau reveals what the visitor will find on each island. The canvas is inspired by the herbarium format.
A gigantic page that draws the attention to the species and aesthetically exposes names of the plants on each island. The islands of the park have different varieties of wild and non- indigenous plants. I created a «landscape/painting » influenced by the watercolours. As the plants grow and evolve with the seasons the tableau will change with time. The visitors will discover on the canvases of plants the name of the island and the plants that compose each tableau.
